Successful Grant Application

Today we have learnt we have been successful for the Expand Together Grant through Multicultural SA. This is the equipment grant that will now enable us to store the school's music and to combine multiple pieces of music together so that new dance choreography can be performed. We will be using the new routines for our upcoming performances this festival season.

These tools will provide the teachers with the capability and flexibility needed to work together to have the dance routines ready for students and to lift the level of dance performance to the next level. In addition, we are now in a position to be able to connect more effectively with other Greek dance groups to share ideas and collabroate for future performances and concerts.

Update 14th March 2020

As part of our continued commitment to you, we have created a virtual classroom through YouTube which we will make available for Greek Lyceum students. We have been able to achieve this using the equipment that was purchased recently under the Expand Together Grant (see details above). The purpose of this YouTube channel will be to privately share videos to our students which will enable them to learn dances at home if they are not able to attend classes. At this time, as we have cancelled lessons pending the outcome of the COVID-19 situation, we will upload videos each week so students can continue to keep in touch with their dancing virtually!

The Greek Lyceum of SA wishes to thank the Hon Jing Lee MLC Assistant Minister to the Premier and the Government of South Australia for their support in the purchase of these items that will help to make the Greek Lyceum of South Australia even better!
