A Celebration of Greek History and Culture through Dance.
The concert will take audience members on a journey through time, beginning in Ancient Greece, through the Ottoman Occupation, into the Revolution, post-Revolution celebrations and through to the present day. Students will show the development of Greek dance through history, starting with the soft, swaying of the Ancient Greek maidens, the strong courageous steps of Greek Warriors, and the joyful, social scene of the modern Greek era.
We would like to thank the Department of Premier and Cabinet Multicultural Affairs, the Hon. Steven Marshall and the Hon. Jing Lee for the generous funding through the grant program ‘Celebrate Together’, which has assisted us to be able to share this important performance with the wider community.
